The standard specifies performance requirements for color, reflectivity, minimum areas, and material placement in protective equipment.
This document does not cover the following:
- high visibility equipment used in high-risk situations, which is addressed by EN ISO 20471 (refer to Annex A of the standard for more information on risk situations),
- visibility gear specifically designed for head, hand, and foot protection, such as helmets, gloves, and boots,
- equipment integrated with active lighting, such as LED lighting,
- visibility requirements for low-risk situations.
